Pete's Lasagne


Serves 6

Ingredients

800grms beef mince-lean or 50/50 beef or pork mince

15 grams lardons or finely chopped smoked bacon

2 tins of chopped tomatoes

3 cloves of garlic finely chopped

Mixed Italian herbs (tablespoon)

2 finely diced red peppers

6 - 9 sheets of lasagne

Grated cheese

Bechamel sauce  or just buy ready made white sauce

Method

Use a pot or pan,  gently fry off garlic and Italian herbs

Add peppers allow to soften

Add tomatoes, cook for 2/3 minutes

Until you have nice thick tasty red sauce – stand to one side

Brown off the lardons/bacon

Add the mince and brown

Add the sauce to the mince and continue cooking together for 30 minutes

Add salt and pepper

Now the fun part, start layering first  lasagne, next  mince sauce,  small sprinkle of grated cheese then a  layer of white sauce. keep going until you
reach the top cover with the white sauce and a sprinkle of cheese

Bake in the oven for 40 minutes

Remove fro the oven and rest for 10 minutes

All you have to do now is get your favourite bottle of red wine,  eat and enjoy
