Biggest decision

I have had this apple tart recipe for ages, not sure where I got it from it is easy to make and is delicious. The biggest decision to make is whether you want to pour on cream, scoop on ice-cream or make smooth custard to drizzle all over.

Apple Tart
Batter
200grms sugar
38ml butter
3 large eggs
140grms self-rising flour
2ml baking soda
Pinch of salt
60ml milk
1 tin of apples – unsweetened

Preheat Oven to 180 – 350 degrees

Beat sugar and butter together until light and creamy
Add eggs one at a time beat well
Sift dry ingredients together, add to the bowl alternating with the milk
Add the apples and fold into batter
Pour the batter into a greased dish and bake for 30 – 40 minutes until the tart is cooked
Caramel sauce
1 tin Ideal milk
200grms sugar
5ml caramel essence
Method
Pour all the ingredients into a sauce pan
Bring to the boil, stirring continuously
Pour the sauce over the tart immediately after removing the tart from the oven.
