Robata - a traditional cooking style of Hokkaido in northern Japan where the day's catch is grilled on small fire.
From the moment  you enter this Serene elegant space, it makes you feel relaxed. You get the feeling this is going to be an exiting and memorial experience.
I really want to tell you about the decor as it is really pretty from the walls to the light shades, which are many and varied.  But I cannot, I  need to tell you about the artfully arranged food that takes your breath away as it is placed on the table. The sublime medley of flavours. The amount of times that the aghhs and mmms will pass your lips each time you take a mouth full of food. Once you surface from the assault on your sensors, you remember there are other patrons around you.
The sea Bream was so delightful, every mouth full offered up different flavours. The droplets of yuzu was refreshing added to that the flavour of tepan vegetables. A very satisfying dish.
They encourage you to share the dishes, you choose. It is a good idea as at other tables I could see everyone trying one then another. A very social way to eat. It opens conversations and not a mobile in sight. Everyone was to busy eating and discussing the food. Exactly how it should be when sitting down to eat with a loved one or friends. Taking time to first admire what is presented and then with anticipation, tasting the food, allowing it to roll around your tongue. Creating that experience that will be cemented in time.
We ordered Udon noodles with prawns, stir fry vegetables with ginger cream. It was a smooth light taste and the crunchy salad that is placed on top of the bowl adds a perfect amount of crunch. It is a dish that I would defiantly order again.
Time to order dessert and we choose to share a Tempura banana an ice cream which had it's own little surprises. The fried noodles that the ice cream sits on adds a touch of texture .

The Cappuccino was not left out in the cold.  It is creamy and the grated dark chocolate added another layer it. Turning it into something special.
