Prezzo - Bicester
Last minute shopping and a great way to start it by going
out for a meal first. Walking past Prezzo on the way to Nandos we looked
at each other and mouthed should we give it another try. We have been giving
Prezzo a wide berth since they opened in Bicester, because the staff that
used to be there were so rude and unfriendly we walked out and have not been
back. As we have tried other branches of Prezzo and had leisurely
memorable meals maybe, a year or so on it might be worth giving it another
chance. Reaching out to pull the door
open and stepping in, (this is as far as
we got last time). We ask the approaching waiter “if there are any
tables available “and wait to see what the reception will be. The greeting received was like day and
night. We are settled at a table at rear
of the restaurant where all the action is, we could watch the chef preparing
the food. The waiter fills us in on the specials that are still available.
We
study the menu.
The starters arrive and it looks and smells great. The
calamari was cooked perfectly, and the dip had just the right balance. Pete had
a bean soup, and sounds coming from that end of table clearly was an indication
that he was enjoying it.
We ordered a calzone and mixed salad to share. It had a bite to it and there was a good
amount of filling. It was very moreish.
So given the now friendly staff and delicious food, I am
glad we decided on a second chances.
