The Old Flight House

Afternoon Tea

The Old Flight House

Afternoon tea with a friend and where to go. The Old Flight House is a great place to go.  It is on the Northampton Road, Weston-on-the-Green.

There is parking out front and around the back.  From the moment you get out of the car and walk towards the café, you get a feeling of anticipation , wanting to go inside and explore.

The back entrance takes you to a section enclosed with glass.  You cannot help but take time to look around at the mirrors, old boxes, large coloured bottles and so much more.

The café area has large grey wicker chairs and chic metal tables. With pretty glass bowls of flowers on each table. There are lots of interesting little corners to find a place to sit.

They have a selection of home made cakes under glass domes and they cook meals. The food coming out of the kitchen looked and smelts really good.

We had a lazy long afternoon having tea and cake. I have to say we were not hurried along to vacate the table, it was great. We put in an order for another cup tea and French fries which were cooked to perfection. The second round of tea was not hot and we had ordered tap water which did not appear. In spite of this we enjoyed the atmosphere and walking around afterwards looking at all the rooms with quirky bits and some lovely furniture.

Definitely worth a visit.
